Bob is a 13-year-old blue and gold macaw. Bob's previous owners acquired him in 2006 at a police auction because he was confiscated from a breeder/hoarder situation in Indiana. Bob is fairly comfortable being handled and can be a very loving bird although he has bitten a few people. Bob likes some visitors to the home, but goes into an alert stance with others if he feels threatened. Bob lived with four dogs (a collie, a chow/husky, and two pit bulls) and three DSH cats but he did not interact with any of them. He loves fish and seems to prefer cooked/steamed vegetables over raw ones. Please come to the sanctuary to meet Bob!
