Surrender a Bird

If you have a bird you can no longer care for, Feathered Friends Sanctuary & Rescue can help. We understand that surrendering your bird is a very difficult decision, but you can rest assured that your bird will be in a safe place until we can find the perfect forever home for your feathered friend.

Please fill out the Surrender Form and Questionnaire (Word or PDF) and mail it to us or bring it with you at the time of surrender (we will not accept Surrender Forms by email). The more information you can give us, the easier it will be for us to find the perfect match for your bird!

When surrendering a bird to FFSR, please provide documentation that your bird has been seen by a veterinarian within six months of the surrender date. If your bird has not been seen by a veterinarian within six months or you cannot provide documentation, please consider a $50 surrender donation to defray medical expenses incurred by FFSR.

It is our policy that after surrendering a bird to us for any reason, we will automatically deny all adoption applications from you for a year. We will not trade one bird for another bird and will not adopt to anyone who thinks they deserve to be able to adopt a bird because of any type of donation.
