We will then let you know if we need volunteers in the following capacities:

In-Shelter Care of Birds

This includes cleaning cages, preparing food, bathing, feeding, watering, and socializing the birds. You can help make the birds' stay more enjoyable and help prepare them for their new homes!

Humane Education

One way to greatly reduce bird overpopulation is by educating children. With this program you will go into classrooms to help Feathered Friends Sanctuary & Rescue staff members teach the children about responsible care of animals and pet ownership.

Adoption Outreach

Feathered Friends Sanctuary & Rescue occasionally has birds available for adoption at various off-site locations. As an adoption outreach volunteer you will spend time educating the public about our sanctuary (its policies and procedures) and answering questions about the available birds.

Special Events

Feathered Friends Sanctuary & Rescue attends a number of special events and fundraisers throughout the year. While working at an event you may set up Fine Feathered Friends' area, run an information booth, answer questions about the sanctuary, and much more.
