Feathered Friends Sanctuary & Rescue, Inc

Frankie
Frankie is a 12+ year old pacific parakeet. He arrived to our sanctuary this summer in July along with a Hahns macaw, Jimmy. Jimmy has since found his forever home and Frankie is hoping someone will come along to give him a chance, too.
Frankie is a very outgoing bird once he is out of his cage. It can be a bit hard to get him out of the cage at times, though he is not cage aggressive--just shy initially. He loves to sing to you, chatter, whisper, and dance. In fact, his favorite thing to do is dance! He has quite the variety of dance moves.
Frankie seems interested in the other birds at the sanctuary and loves interacting with them, however we cannot adopt any birds out with the sole intention of them being a friend for another bird. He does well with children, though loud toddlers seem to make him nervous. Frankie is not aggressive and does not usually bite, even when provoked. He would make a great addition to a family whether they are new to birds or fairly experienced.
Species Life Expectancy: 20-30 years (As we do not know Frankie's species for sure, this is our best guess)
Minimum cage required: 24" x 30" x 24"
Minimum bar spacing: 1/2" -3/4"
What I eat here: Goldenfeast Central American 1/4 cup daily, Harrison pellets mixed in.
My favorite treat(s): Melon, squash, apple, grapes
*Adoption fees are given once a bird is placed on hold and has been visited multiple times. Our fees vary based on age, health, handleability and length of time at our sanctuary, so our fees change regularly as each bird is re-assessed*
