We REQUIRE proof of a veterinary exam performed by an avian veterinarian prior to being able to board at our facility. Any diagnostics recommended by your veterinarian should be pursued at their recommendation (bloodwork, other diagnostics, etc.).

 

We require birds be examined/tested for communicable diseases prior to boarding: Psittacosis, Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease (PBFD), Avian Polyomavirus (APV), Psittacine Herpes Virus (PsHV-1), Avian Bornavirus (ABV).

 We offer the option to board avian species (psittacine / parrots only) at our facility for the following rates:

​

​$15 per day - Budgies, Parakeets, Cockatiels, Parrotlets, Conures, Senegal, etc.

$20 per day - Amazons, Greys, Eclectus, Alexandrines, etc.

$30 per day - Macaws, Cockatoos, etc.

​There is a 10% discount if you provide your own cage. Please be aware that we may not have stands available for cages, so please take this into account when planning your stay. We are happy to prepare one of our cages for your bird at no additional cost.

​Those who are consistent/regular volunteers are eligible to receive boarding discounts. You must be an active volunteer (2 shifts per month) for 90 days to receive boarding discounts.

​We are happy to feed our food at no additional cost, though if your bird is kept on a diet other than Fresh Chop/Mash in the morning and Tops Pellets in the evening, please provide your own food so that your bird does not upset its stomach by transitioning to a completely new diet. We will not feed any foods that are not suitable for parrots to eat. Should unsafe/unhealthy food be provided, we will feed our food available here at our discretion.

The boarding contract must be sent in AT LEAST ONE WEEK prior to booking any stays.
